Product Photography

I have really been enjoying product photography until I started shooting silver. All of a sudden I couldn’t blow out the background that easily. So I called Samy’s camera and asked a couple questions. Come to find out a good approach is to light the jewelry from the bottom as well. I think I’ll move my white background much closer and over expose it more than before. And the product will sit nicely in the part that is the most blown out. I was thinking I should shoot up to the product so that there is no background except for a super bright spot on white.
